Services

Here at Legacy WE ARE NOT SALESMEN. Our main focus is to provide our customers with the best work and the best advice even if that means exploring cost effective alternatives! Every job we do begins with identifying our customers unique needs and wants and constructing a plan of action.

Sanding and Refinishing

The process of sanding and refinishing starts with identifying the condition of your floor. Every job is different and some floors require more love than others! Typically floors require three levels of sanding which range from rough to medium to fine. Depending on the situation, there may be a need to increase or reduce the amount of passes and level of grit used when sanding your floor. This may be due to the amount of times your floor has already been sanded or perhaps the stain you chose requires more detail to pull it off.

TLDR:; (Too long don’t read)

We sand floor, we apply stain, and/or poly. Customer happy :)

Installations

At Legacy, we install a wide variety of materials (hardwood, engineered, vinyl, etc…). Each process is different depending on the desired material and situation. Most installations come with some type of preparation work. Preparation is usually the clearance of any obstructions, however depending on the material it may also include or require further leveling such as sanding a wood subfloor or applying feather finish or self leveler to concrete. As much as we’d love to talk about all the intricacies of floor installation we know that you hire us for a reason and we pride ourselves on making our jobs as simple as possible for our customers. So don’t worry, we will guide you through the process to ensure your job is done right.

Repairs Patchwork & Coats

Board Repairs: Board repairs are needed when your floor is splintering, water or urine damaged, or have lost their structural integrity. We isolate those boards and replace them with the main goal of not capturing attention by blending through various processes.

Patchwork: Patching an existing floor to a new floor is an art. Whenever patching a floor the main goal is to make the new and old become one. We approach this by removing existing wood in a way that allows us to naturally follow the original trend or pattern and identifying the correct species as well as grade and cut when installing.

Maintenance Coats: Sometimes floors don’t need a full sanding so we recommend applying coats to extend the longevity of your floors. It won’t remove deep scratches or water damage, but adding a coat every few years or perhaps between tenants is a great way to refresh your home and give your floors an extra layer of protection while still being cost effective. It is always recommended to have your floors recoated to reduce the wear and tear. Spending money to have your floors recoated is an investment that pays you back by extending the life of your floors and is much cheaper than sanding and refinishing.
